Sameer Hinduja, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and his B.S. in Criminal Justice (with a minor in legal studies) from the University of Central Florida Honors College. Having been trained in both the criminal justice and computer science domains, Hinduja’s primary research interest involves studying computer-related criminality from the unique position at which they coalesce. His work also appears in Journal of Criminal Justice, Policing, Police Quarterly, Journal of School Violence, Journal of Contemporary Criminal Justice, Security Journal, and Ethics and Information Technology. Hinduja has lectured extensively in front of federal, state, and local law enforcement, as well as various school- and community-based audiences, on the need to integrate social science and computer science when addressing high-tech crime.
